The University of Kentucky's Appalachian Center, Appalachian Studies Program, and the Appalachian Research Community (UK-ARC) seek to promote interdisciplinary dialogue around issues in Appalachia. We are proud to follow up our first ten successful symposia with the 2022 UK Appalachian Research Symposium and Arts Showcase to be held Saturday, March 5, 2022. 

About the Appalachian Center

The Appalachian Center contributes to the land grant mission of the University of Kentucky by fostering community-university partnerships in research, learning and engagement in Appalachia. Located  on UK's main campus, the Center is a space for students, faculty, staff and community members to join forces in learning about and educating others about this beautiful region that faces unique opportunities and challenges toward sustainable development in a globalized context.
