Irma Gall, co-founder of the Lend-A-Hand Center, will be on campus to share her new experiences working on Stinking Creek for the past 60 years. Located in Walker, Kentucky, the Center has served the Stinking Creek community through health, education, agricultural, and children's programs since 1958. Irma is a farmer and school teacher who is involved in Appalachian service work and active in the war on poverty. We welcomed Irma to campus on Monday, November 26th from 5-6:30PM at the Niles Gallery in the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library for her presentation, and enjoyed a full day spent learning about her life's work and passion!

The Tracy Farmer Institute for Sustainability and the Environment welcomes undergraduate and graduate student research posters relating to environmental and sustainability issues to be presented at the 8th annual susatinability Forum on December 6, 2018 from 4:30-7:00 at the Hilary J. Boone Center. Monetary awards will be presented to the top student poster/presentations. Space is limited.
Deadline for abstract submissions is November 19, 2018.
