Join us for two SWAP (Sharing Work on Appalachia in Progress) presentations Friday, January 25, 2019 12PM-1:30PM. James S. Brown Award recipient, Christopher Leadingham of the History department will present his work "John Bowman and an Environmental Approach to Early Kentucky History." Eller & Billings Student Research Award recipient, Jillean McCommons, also of the History department will present her work entitled "Black Appalachian Identity in the Era of Black Power." This is a free event open to UK students, faculty and staff! Lunch will be provided.
