Teaching and Learning Seminar

In this week's Teaching and Learning Seminar, we will have a series of lightning talks on active learning. We will kick-off the meeting with an introduction to active learning from Dr. Ben Braun. After that, some instructors will share 5-minute talks or demonstrations of an activity they have done in their courses. Finally, we will end with discussion and questions.

If you would like to give one of the 5-minute talks, please contact Dr. Chloe Urbanski Wawrzyniak at ChloeUWawrzyniak@uky.edu.

Perfect Fusion: Teaching English as a Second Language

The visiting South Korean teachers currently studying at UK are part of a long line of successful educational partnerships for the University’s Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) program. The experience for these teachers, however, is a bit different: they are the first to receive graduate credit by participating UK’s newly-formed master’s program in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).
