The UK Appalachian Center has been BUSY place this semester! We enjoyed many different events at the App Center and around campus including our biweekly coffee hours, SWAP presentations from James S. Brown and Eller & Billings Student Research Awards recipients and our visiting scholar, Marianne Kongerslev, the 10th annual GARC Research Symposium and Arts Showcase, the Appalachian Studies Association Conference in Asheville, North Carolina over spring break, presentations from Wayne Riley, Jessica Wilkerson, Robert Gipe, and Chirs Holbrook, and finally our Appalachian Center Spring Shindig to close out the semester. As you can tell absolutely NO FUN was had at the App Center this year. We are looking forward to the summer and seeing everyone back in the fall 2019 semester!
