Our inaugural "Conversations with Gurney" event was held at the Lucille Caudill Little Library in the John Jacobs Niles Gallery (160 Patterson Drive) on November 14th from 2-4PM. Gurney Norman, scholar-in-residence for the Appalachian Center and Appalachian Studies Program, hosted Anne Shelby, native Kentuckian, storyteller, poet, and award-winning author. After the performance, a reception was held at the Appalachian Center, 624 Maxwelton Court. Soup beans, Ale 8 and a great time was enjoyed by all!
